yours?
The songs that have made a huge impact on me during this year; these songs might not have necessarily been produced/released this year, but they were my favorites nonetheless
(btw, i got this idea from @incessantlycold)
———-
1. Broken Strings by James Morrison and Nelly Furtado
— I feel like this will always be the top most-played song in my iTunes :P
2. Breathe Me by Sia
— I only discovered this song a few months back, not entirely sure when it was released. ALSO BTW, GODTHESELYRICSAREWORDSTHATIWILLNEVERFORGET.
3. You Found Me by The Fray
— This is one of those songs that really hit close to home; my year wouldn’t have been the same without it.
4. I Love You So Much Better When You’re Naked by Ida Maria
— YESYESYESYESYESYES =)) I remember listening to only this song for four days straight HAHA
5. Thinking Of You by Katy Perry
— OH. THESE WORDS.
6. Fell In Love Without You (Acoustic Ver.) by The Motion City Soundtrack
— I think it was only this year that I discovered there was an acoustic version of this song (found through Gossip Girl, obviously). BTW this was the song I used to always listen to during my late-night commute from school.
7. Sorry by Maria Mena
— Though I discovered this song a few years ago, the lyrics still get me every time.
8. The Only Exception by Paramore
— What’s an 09 playlist without this?
9. I Gotta Feeling by The Black Eyed Peas
— LSS. Please. I don’t ever want to hear this again.
10. She Is Love by Parachute
11. Reaching by Jason Reeves
— These two were my personal favorite love songs from this year =))
12. Momentum by The Hush Sound
— If I remember correctly, it was only this year that I discovered this awesome band; this song is definitely one of my all-time favorites. :]
13. Fuck You by Lily Allen
— Just thinking of this song makes me smile =))
14. She Had The World by Panic At The Disco
— This one’s definitely my favorite out of the band’s album released early this year; BTW this always makes me think of Victorian tea parties in faraway castles HAHA :)
15. Starstrukk by 3OH!3 and Katy Perry
— And finally, the song that has been in my head since the first time I heard it.

Happy New Year in advance, everyone! :)
[Screaming]
I became a member of what in those days
was kind of a free masonry.
A free masonry of cinephiles…
what we’d call “film buffs.”
I was one of the insatiables…
the ones you’d always find
sitting closest to the screen.
Why do we sit so close?
Maybe it was because we wanted
to receive the images first…
when they were still new,
still fresh…
before they cleared the hurdles
of the rows behind us…
before they’d been relayed back
from row to row, spectator to spectator…
until worn-out, secondhand,
the size of a postage stamp…
it returned to the
projectionist’s cabin.

[Young Man Narrating]
The first time I saw a movie
at the Cinémathèque Française…
I thought, “Only the French…
Only the French would house
a cinema inside a palace.”
sorry if I don’t get to follow back most of you guys -____-“
but I do check out your pages once in a while, you all are cool HAHA :)
